Hook: TMC 2487
Thread: Uni 8/0 Iron gray
Tail: Brown Hackle Fibers
Abdomen: Mixed Olive and brown dubbing
Wingcase: Mirage Flashabou, Blue Dun hackle fibers
Thorax: Adams gray Superfine dubbing

Step 1: Mount your hook in the vise and wrap the thread to the bend of the hook. Then tie in the hackle fibers. Wrap back to mid-shank.

Step 2: Mix the olive and brown dubbing and apply a tapered body.

Step 3: Tie in a single Mirage fiber, then a dozen dun hackle fibers by their tips.

Step 4: Dub the thorax.

Step 5: Pull the hackle fibers forward and secure.

Step 6: Tie down the Mirage strand.

Step 7: Separate half the hackle fibers and secure them to the far side of the hook. Then secure the remaining half to the near side. This forms the legs.
